Since joining Flagship, Pedro has assisted a leading EU payments fintech with their South-American expansion strategy, identified investment opportunities across selected European payments verticals for global private equity firms and pension funds, and has worked on multiple buy and sell-side commercial due diligence on payment companies. 

Prior to joining Flagship, Pedro was a payments practitioner via his role as a Financial Analyst at Rede, the largest merchant acquirer in Brazil. At Rede, Pedro was in charge of pricing key account merchants and supported cross-selling. Pedro began his career at the FX and OTC Derivatives Desk at HSBC, where he worked with various treasury products, including spot and derivatives, credit lines, and structured deals.

Pedro holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a Master’s in Finance from the Vrije University of Amsterdam.
