Ryan has 8 years of experience in payments and fintech, specializing in credit card issuing. As a subject matter expert in U.S. payments issuing, he has managed over 35 credit card portfolio divestitures and provided advisory services to more than 80 banks, credit unions, and fintechs. Ryan delivers unique value to Flagship’s clients by combining a deep understanding of payment issuing P&Ls with expertise in the broader program provider ecosystem.
Prior to joining Flagship, Ryan was Vice President of Partnership Development for Elan Financial Services, a subsidiary of U.S. Bank. Ryan was responsible for structuring the financial and contractual considerations for credit card partnership opportunities. As a component of partnership development, Ryan was responsible for walking prospective partners through the financial benefits of a portfolio divestiture, negotiating the required contractual agreements, and overseeing the asset due diligence.
Prior to his time in business development, Ryan managed the contract renewals of Elan’s 1,300 bank and credit union partners, and has had exposure to countless partnership revenue share structures.
